Mortgage Modification

Question: How long should it take for a mortgage modification application to be processed. Its been 2 months and no word?

I am dealing directly with Countrywide as they are the mortgage holder.

Answer: Depends on what you want modified.....it they really want to, they can do it in a week.....but nowadays...you probably need to be checked and/or reaccessed for credit worthiness and status....and this takes time....and they tend to drag on and play for time if the changes are not to their advantage....
